New Albany's new slogan: "Truck Through City" ... Part Eighteen: A twelve-minute walk up Spring St., Tuesday, July 1, 9:50 a.m. - 10:02 a.m.

I see them, feel them, hear them and probably taste them. But there is no truck problem here, according to the city of New Albany -- no diversions, no added weight to streets not built for it, no compromising "quality of life" in downtown neighborhoods.

They must think we're really stupid.

Roger, trucks as big or bigger than those pictured routinely chug up and down in front of our residence on Indiana Avenue, day in and day out. Side note: A couple of trucks were put into service on Roanoke today as part of a traffic cop trap. They obscured the police car from view AND also sightlines for drivers at a stop sign. Ticket given to my husband -- on his birthday today no less! -- by "R. Carter" (Badge 105). What a way to boost city revenues! :/

No speeding tickets whatsoever were issued there from Oct '12 to Oct '13. Nor much of anyplace else in the city. 253 tickets that year, a third on Spring and a sixth on Market.
