I'd have expected this in NA, but perhaps New Bethel will franchise the idea.

As reported at The 'Ville Voice blog: Bring Your Sidearm to Church Day.

They don't even trust themselves!

Hmmm...it seems that speaking out (for or against) political issues can cost churches their tax-exempt status...perhaps this should be reported to the IRS.

Pontius Pilate's attorneys should call these folks as witnesses for the defense.

I am sure that they are following some well known Biblical citations found in Matthew 29 and Psalm 151.

I saw this pastor on television tonight. He said that this was a time to celebrate our second amendment rights.

Okay, if people want to celebrate their second amendment rights, that is fine and dandy. That is purely political right; it has NOTHING to do with religion and faith and no church has any business doing such a thing. I cannot imagine Jesus being at an event celebrating amendment rights of any sort. Ugh!

I guess I take my religion too seriously.

John I saw him too. The statement that stuck out to me was when he said they "aren't preaching the gospel here, this is about rights" and then at the end of the interview he said "not all denominations are pacifists".

GROSS.
